I got super busy with finals, I was stressing over whether or not I am going to pass my STATS class (no, I still don't know yet). But I have kept up with my workout routine. I have been going at least 6 days a week and I added the stairmaster to my cardio routine. Yesterday I got up to level 4 on the stairmaster! The strength training stayed the same. Tricep dips, squats, lunges, bicep curls, etc.
The one thing I have given into is hiring a personal trainer. I talked to one at my gym and they were able to give me $100 off of 10 sessions. I got really impatient with not seeing the results I want, and I am very focused on my goals right now. So, it was the best thing for me to do. I know not all of you can afford that, but if you can and belong to a gym I encourage you to check with them from time to time to see if they have any special offers. My gym has a body fit challenge at the moment that is done in a group with a trainer and it is about half the price for the one on one stuff (I just don't like the group work).
He gave me a free session today and let me tell you, I feel the pain! He had me do super sets, which is where you work two different muscle groups at the same time. So we worked on the machines for my arms. And the names of the machines escape me at the moment. And then we did 1 set of 15 wall squats with a medicine ball, 1 set of 15 crunches and alternated for 3-4 sets. Then I did 1 set of 15 forward lunges with a weighted bar, and 1 set of 20 leg lifts alternating for 4 sets. We finished with working triceps and biceps on the cable machine then did stretching. I worked out for about 45 minutes and it was definitely intense. The way my trainer does it is that you do the intervals with little to no rest so that your heart rate stays up so it is a really effective workout in little time. Next week is when we officially begin and that is when he will give me my nutrition plan and everything.
I just want to add in that this plan is so that I lose about 70lbs in about 10 weeks. So my plan isn't for exactly for everyone. If you haven't exercised a lot, then you will want to start out with an easier plan.
That's all for now!
