Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my blog! I have had a blog for awhile now and it turned into a random collection of ramblings and complaints more than anything, so I stopped writing. I have now decided to make a public blog about my weight loss journey. I am a part of a couple different Internet communities where I interact with people and document my progress but, I thought that it would be fun to open myself up to more people because I enjoy learning about new ways to stay active and I am always trying to learn more about nutrition because I love to cook. And I assume that there are a lot of other people out there who want to find out more about those things as well. Like a lot of people, I want to lose weight to feel better about myself and to be healthy. I am an average person, just like everyone else, I don't make tons of money that allows me to hire the best of the best personal trainers, nutritionists, and cooks. I have a gym membership, I cook for myself, buy my own groceries, and research new ways to exercise.
I feel like a lot of celebrities endorse products and show how they dropped their pounds, but it's hard to trust they are being completely honest because the reality of it is that they have incomes that go above and beyond what most of us earn and, unlike them, we can't dedicate our lives to working out because we have work, school, and families that also demand a lot of our time. So we can't follow the same demanding routines that they take on.
So, a little about me. I am 25, I am a college student who has the privilege of not having to work right now, I live in CA, and my goal is to lose about 75 pounds.
For my blog I will post pictures and videos of myself, and maybe featuring some other people, doing different activities such as hiking or whatever and I will update you on my progress. If I get anyone asking me questions about my diet, workouts, anything, I will be happy to answer them! Keep in mind that I do not have professional certification, just the knowledge I have gained over time about exercise and nutrition.
